BUILDING BLOCKS OF A SCENE

   

       Activity: How to BUILD A SCENE with 4 actors
       Improv Game: "Four Corners”

     
Objective: The students will build scenes based on the four elements needed to make a scene for the stage.

Set Up: divide the group into four actors and assign one corner of the scene to each actor.           

     
THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE SCENE 
       (necessary to build a complete story)

       1.) location 

       2.) relationship 

       3.) conflict 

       4.) resolution  

To Play the the Game: 
Each actor enters one at a time into the scene to perform their task. Once the next actor in line sees that the first actor completed their task they can enter and begin their task. The scene ends when the resolution is completed.
