Class Objective: Explore the history of theater performance and begin finding a personal technique as a student actor through:
Class Expectations: Each Student will be required to do the following to get credit in the class
- Keeping an written acting journal and portfolio
- Doing all assignments and submitting work in our Google Classroom
- Being prepared by performance dates (scripts scored, memorized, staged, and rehearsed)
- Each student writing original work for the stage during the year
- Multiple performances per progress period
- One act play study (dramaturgy work - research, image finding and analysis)
- Full length play study (from the Pulitzer list)
- Attending a show at the Repertory Theater of St Louis and writing a review of the production
- Creating an original Avant Garde (Performance Art/Solo Performance) piece for their final
